Lewes Vaults opens its doors - New Homes launch in Lewes

4th October 2017

We are thrilled to be opening the doors to the much anticipated Lewes Vaults. The show home launch is at 11.00am on Saturday October 14th .

David Beaken, Director of our Oakley Lewes branch, is pleased to be working with such a great development. “Lewes Vaults is really very special. ‘Unique’ is a phrase which is hugely over used in estate agency but these houses really are. I think they are the most contemporary new homes we have worked on in Lewes, the level of finish and attention to detail is second to none. All the team are thrilled to be working on them”.

Private roof terraces with stunning panoramic views towards the South Downs

Lewes Vaults is a development of just 4 houses. They are set across 3 and 4 floors and span up to 2,300sq.ft. There are 3 and 4 bedroom options available with open and expansive living space. Lewes Vaults gets its name from the fascinating historic vaults that run under the development. Baobab have managed to incorporate this space within the design of these houses. Accessed from various levels the private roof terraces are finished with
solid Iroko and many offer stunning panoramic views across Lewes rooftops towards the South Downs.

David continued “The response and interest levels have been fantastic. We had over 100 people register for updates and it is no surprise that
we have already sold the first house off plan.”

"Where we live, shapes how we live"

Kitchens are designed by Lorna Williamson. They are part of Manhattan range from Sussex based company Paula Rosa. Solid Okite quartz worktops with Miele, Siemens and Smeg appliances. There are a selection of bathrooms, shower rooms and en-suites all designed by Rosie Pawsey with tiling from Minoli. Lighting is designed by Zetter Blunt and there is engineered narrow oak flooring laid to chevron in the living space.

Baobab are Sussex based boutique developers passionate about building incredible houses. Director Paul Templeton commented
“Our firm conviction that good houses improve lives guides all that we do. We firmly believe that where we live, shapes the way we live. It is our
mission as boutique developers to build properties characterised by space, light and design."

Paul continued “We use renowned architects, we commission designers, be they lighting, kitchen, bathroom, interior, landscape, home
automation, and it is this use of experts that allows us to concentrate on delivering the key components of every Baobab house"

A historic County Town with plenty of character, culture and charm

The historic County Town in East Sussex, Lewes, is a thriving market town and the beauty of the towns rich architectural heritage interplays
with both the River Ouse, as it meanders through the town centre and the South Downs National Park. Lewes is home to a wealth of creative industries and the vibrant patronage of the arts can be felt through the character of its lanes and twittens, as you wander through the town.

Helen Oakley commented, “The location of these homes is perfect, right in the middle of town yet tucked away in a quiet spot. You wouldn’t expect as you approach but as the houses are raised this means you get the most fantastic outlook with views to the South Downs and Lewes
Golf Club. This gets better as you move up the houses and the roof terrace from number 4 in particular is spectacular. “

Prices for range from £625,000 - £985,000. The Oakley team invite you to come and view the new show on Saturday October 14th between
11.00am – 3.00pm.
