Simon Forrest
Commercial Director
Simon has worked in the commercial property sector for 20 years. Initially working for Stiles Harold Williams in both Brighton & Crawley where he specialized in business space. Later he spent four years working in the West End of London acquiring and project managing development and investment opportunities for a private investor. Having joined Oakley Commercial in 2004 he now runs the commercial agency department and advises clients on investment and development opportunities.
Recent projects and Clients have included:
- St Modwen Developments – Development and letting advice for 9.5 acre business park including a 32,000 sq ft pre sale to Reflex Nutrition.
- Berkeley Homes (Southern) – Letting advice on a new mixed use scheme within the Ropetackle Development in Shoreham
- Bolney Grange Industrial Estate Ltd – Development advice and sale of 16 industrial units in Mid Sussex
- Crest Nicholson/Bio Regional Quintain – Sale instructions for 7 offices within the award winning One Brighton Development
- Altyre Property – Letting instruction on 3 retail warehouse units in Newhaven and securing pre lets to the Factory Outlet store and Lidl
- Glanmore Investments – Sale of 56,000sq ft office building in central Hove

Andrew M Algar BA (Hons)
Associate Director
Andrew joined the practice in 2001 as a Negotiator and was made an Associate Director in 2005. A graduate from The University of Manchester, Andrew has built up an excellent reputation and considerable experience within commercial agency, predominately within the office, retail and business transfer sectors. Andrew serves an extensive client base, handling a wide range of instructions in Brighton and Hove and across the Mid-Sussex region from local shopkeepers to major institutions such as Shoreham Port Authority.
Andrew is married and has two daughters.

Matthew Wakeman BSc Hons
Commercial Agent
Matthew is our newest member having joined us in July 2011. Matthew has been in the property industry for 12 years, the last 6 years working in Bognor Regis specialising in all aspects of commercial property. Matthew is responsible for commercial property in Lewes together with properties in Brighton and Hove. Matthew, being a land management graduate, also works for our Professional department and is due to sit his final assessment in 2012 to gain his chartered surveyor status.

Ben Pettett
Commercial Agent
Ben is the most recent member of the agency team having joined us in May 2010. Ben has been involved in commercial property and business transfer for 12 years having previously had a role with another local firm of Chartered Surveyors based in Hove and specialising in commercial property. Ben assists with properties in Brighton and the south coast. Ben is from Shoreham and is an avid football fan.

Robyn Ayala-Lea
Receptionist/Negotiator
Originally working on a part-time basis within our Residential team, Robyn moved to our Commercial Head Office in 2007 and is now the Administrator for the commercial agency team. Robyn has a degree in art and her interests include scuba diving, reading and animals.
