Situation

The historic county town of Lewes is a popular cosmopolitan medieval town which offers an excellent range of amenities with a variety of shops including three supermarkets and many individual specialist outlets selling fine foods, crafts and antiques. A farmers market is held twice a month, and the town is home to Harvey’s award winning Brewery. Other amenities include a leisure centre, several sports clubs, local theatre and cinema. There is a well established and lively social, cultural and intellectual scene. The town benefits from several excellent primary schools, and an outstanding secondary school and tertiary/FE college. Lewes mainline railway station has frequent services to London Victoria (1hr 10 mins), Brighton (15 mins) and Eastbourne (20 mins), and there are excellent bus services to Brighton and surrounding villages and towns.

Directions

From our Lewes office continue up the High Street and bear right at the war memorial onto the one way system. Proceed round the one way system onto the Phoenix Causeway and continue straight over at both roundabouts, and bear left onto Malling Street, following the signs to the A26 (Tunbridge Wells). Go past the Esso Garage on the left, and then take the first turning left into The Spinneys. Continue to the end of this road, over a small bridge to a roundabout in the centre of the development. Number 37 is at the right hand end of the block of town houses on your left.
